A day on a fishing boat belonging to one of our favorite pups, Margarita!  The Gallant Lady in Cape May.

Our 5 children and 2 grandkids and our grandson Cooper with our shorkie pup Nelson who
is now our grand dog.   Cooper also has an older dog Lucy who is camera shy.

Maggie spends lots of time playing with the puppies for which she receives $1.00 an hour

Our son Jeb with his dog Ry Ry and our son Finny with  Brady while he was boarding with us.

Brady belongs to Judi Franco and her family.

My visit to Brazil.  It was wonderful!  Can't wait to go back.

 Will be open soon!

Poppy getting ready to install the grooming sink and Emma Louise leaving that room.  She hates her bath.  She is anxiously awaiting my desk being delivered since that is her favorite thing.  Sitting on my desk!!

The facilities!!

The new floor going down and Maggie having a lunch break with her Dad

The First Snow.  Maggie took some pictures of the farm, came in rosy cheeked for hot chocolate and decided to help with Poppy's haircut.  How many grandfathers allow a 7 year old to cut his hair with dog clippers???

We are happy to have Cooper spend two days  a week with us during the
summer at the farm.  After a full day of cutting the grass on the riding mower, whacking weeds,
playing on the four wheeler with swimming
breaks in between, Cooper helps Nana bathe pups.

Sometimes Cooper brings his friend Corey to spend a few days at the farm.

When you come to see us, you are usually greeted by Kerry, Emma Louise and Gia.  They sit on my desk all day long then jump off to greet visitors.  Kerry is our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Emma Louise is our Brazilian Yorkie and Gia is one of our "special needs" pups who stole my heart and lives with Nana.  She was born with a dislocated shoulder and will have her right front leg removed soon.

Whelping pups is always exciting and a family affair.  My niece Tara helping us deliver puggle babies.  She was very excited to "catch" her first puggle.  Keeping the babies warm in between births is very important and Maggie Mae's job when it isn't the middle of the night.  After Mom cleans each pup up they are moved to the warming basket while Mom delivers the next pup.  We always have our Moms X-rayed so we know exactly how many pups to expect.  Here is a picture of a friend (who would like to remain anonymous) keeping a pup warm the natural way.

Gia the day before her surgery - then a few hours after surgery - then 3 days post op back on the desk!  Gia is now 3 weeks post op (as of March 5th) and doing everything she was able to do before plus more.  She is much more athletic now and can do all the doggy things she needs to do.

OUR NEW SIGN!

Top Knotch Acres is a busy place.  Stephanie and Thomas board horses here and they always take time to cuddle puppies.  New bedding is put in the puppy bins every other day and the perfect time to jump in to play.  Our adult friend Marlene amuses herself dressing up a tiny puppy in doll clothes.  Our puppies are pre-mauled in the most loving way.  The dressed up puppy was our Jenna but now she is Gia and lives with Top Knotch Pup Lola (our Claire)

A busy day on the farm!  We had a pretty little filly and a litter of yorkies born the same day.  Had a truck load of hay delivered and found a 3 week old kitten stowed away in a bale of hay which our beagle mom is nursing and our male "pet" duck that came with the farm began laying eggs!!  Notice the difference in the size of the one tiny pup.  She is half the weight of her litter mates.

Our first ride out of Top Knotch Acres (our son Matthew in the front) and Patches introduces her baby to the rest of the herd.  They were all very curious about the new baby and when the time was right, Patches took her to the fence to meet everyone.  As of this writing the baby (Kennedy) is six months old and living harmoniously with the herd.

A tiny kitten was stowed away in a hay delivery so Fred, our female beagle fostered the kitten.
Our three fat little puggle boys & their feline sister got along well.

Carole has Cassie's babies out of the bin for play time and Cassie watches from Carole's lap.
Carole is going to school to be a Zoologist and is learning lots at the farm.  Maggie Mae plays with
the pups and it is obvious how much they enjoy her company
